The Future with Fortinet
This month 631 partners from 89 countries totalling around 1700 people filled the Cancun Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort for the Fortinet Global Conference. Among them was our own Sue Shaw who brought us these key nuggets of knowledge for 2016.
The focus of this year’s conference was all about the education market. This has been identified as a key area that requires special care, so a dedicated education section of Fortinet has been created. This education department will provide simpler messaging to encourage schools to bring their network security up to speed with the rest of the world.
In the US and South America they have a Fortinet truck that will be touring as an educational centre equipped with a virtual core network, including switches, servers and FortiGate products and live product demonstrations. It’s not available in Australia yet, but Sue has put in a good case to encourage them to bring out to us.
They’re also releasing a special new tool this year that’s designed to provide network analysis on a whole new level. More knowledge means better set up and reduced costs so we’re very excited about this one for you. We’ll have more details in the coming months.
Fortinet has also partnered with Cisco & HPE to allow easy integration with existing Cisco & HPE networks. We’re looking forward to forging greater ties with Fortinet as their global strategy focuses on real solutions for partners and end users.
